Kyup is closing down

#1

Just got an email from them. They say that on June 11th the API will stop working, and all instances will be shut down on July 1st.

So if you have a server with them, clone those apps as fast as you can to another server. Fortunately it’s easy on Cloudways. Still, bad news as Kyup was the only one (excluding AWS and Google) that allowed freely scalable servers.

BUMP !!! no more elastic at cloudways

Heard about UpCloud though. They do provide preconfigured instances (a la Digital Ocean, Vultr, etc) but also flexible instances (exactly like Kyup). That would be a nice replacement.

Cloudways still don’t support them but let’s hope. Fired up a server there just to try it out.

Just heard from Cloudways support - Kyup with Cloudways is not closing it is only if you have direct server with them. Cloudways users can still use Kyup servers.

Hi all,

We have an update regarding this issue. From July 1st, it will not be possible to add new servers on Kyup through the Cloudways Platform. There is no danger to your servers and applications on Kyup, but there are a number of actions that we need to take to address the situation, please have a look at this thread:
