Failed to authenticate on SMTP server with username "UISuMo" using 2 possible authenticators - Need Help

Hello All

Noah here, We just built one application using Laravel latest version. For transactional emails, we’re using mandrill API. But frequently we’re getting the following error.

Failed to authenticate on SMTP server with username “UISuMo” using 2 possible authenticators

Any help on this ?

Hi,

Hope you are doing great. I am from Customer Success team of Cloudways. I have checked your application and found that there are two files in which you have defined the mandrill settings
stage77/.env
stage73/.env

In both files, there are different authentication passwords. Please check it after making them identical.

Secondly, if it still does not work then check it using port 465 and ssl. I also found a possible solution to change smtp with

“MAIL_DRIVER=mail
MAIL_HOST=smtp.mandrillapp.com
MAIL_PORT=587
MAIL_USERNAME=username@domain.com
MAIL_PASSWORD=myapikey”

Moreover, I request to ask Mandrill support for this issue as well.
